Ho'oponopono: The Hawaiian Forgiveness Practice

We are the designers of our life, every one of us, and in this creation process is the only reality there is, the moment, the eternal presence,  the continuous dance, Inspiration … It’s all inside us, Or we act from memory (data inside us) or from inspiration – Connection to the Divine.

If we want to change our life experience, we need to take 100% responsibility for what’s going on in our life, accepting it is our creation all along (who’s always there when we have problems? “me”). By Accepting it, owning it, and releasing it you can change your life and of those around you, we are all connected. It’s all about letting go of the perspective that somebody did anything wrong to us. Ho’oponopono allows us to take our power back and heal ourselves.

- First - start the Ho’oponopono Process by:

- Connect with a higher power (God, Universe, Divine,… whatever you believe in)

- Reflect on the issue you have and how you think it was originated.

- Take 100% responsibility for your life.

- Be ready and willing to move forward with a different mindset

- Be ready to both forgive and pardon

- Be grateful for this inspired awareness that you are receiving.

- Second use these four simple phrases - allow yourself to heal within and to also heal our relationships with other people. This ancient Hawaiian healing modality, when you say it, begins to shift your vibration, Ho’ oponopono as a way for us to change our vibrational frequency, and to let go of a lot of things that no longer serve us.

These four simple steps of this method (and the order is not that important) include: Repentance, Forgiveness, Gratitude, and Love are the only forces at work – but have amazing power.

I am sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you.

what that does is that begins to clear your energy field, and then also the energy fields and energetic chords that we might have connected to other people.

These four sentences work as a sort of mantra; they are like meditation. They operate through time and space, beyond cause and effect, and transmit directly to my Higher Self, your sub- subconscious, and your waking consciousness. After a short while, you achieve inner peace and change from disharmony to harmony. You move from separation to union while you say them.

When you recite these mantrams you say it for yourself.

I am sorry - you take responsability for everything in your mind, even if it seems to be “out of you.” Once you realize that, it’s very natural to feel sorry. This realization can be difficult, and we most likely will resist accepting responsibility for the “outside” kind of problems until you start to practice this method on your more obvious and “inside” problems and see results. That’s the whole step: I’M SORRY. I realize that I am responsible for this (issue) in my life and I feel remorse that something in my consciousness has caused this. I apologize. I perceive that I suffer, and that connects me to my feelings. I no longer reject the problem but recognize that I’m awakening and learning. I or my family, friends, connections, and ancestors (through whom I am connected energetically, genetically, and by tradition as much as by history) have caused harm. Now, by realizing this truth, I freed myself of this guilt.

Please forgive me - Say it over and over. Mean it. Remember your remorse from step 1 as you ask to be forgiven. Please forgive me for having, through myself, or my family, friends, connections and ancestors, consciously or unconsciously disturbed you. Please forgive me for having acted contrary to the divine laws of harmony and love. Please forgive me for having until now judged myself (or the situation), and in the past disregarded our spiritual identity and connectedness.

I love you - Say I LOVE YOU. Say it to your body, say it to Divinity. Say I LOVE YOU to the air you breathe, to the house that shelters you. Say I LOVE YOU to your challenges. Say it over and over. Mean it. Feel it. There is nothing as powerful as Love. I love myself. I see and respect the divine in me. I love myself and accept the situation just as it
is. I love the problem that has come to me to open me and guide me to the truth of what I am. I love myself unconditionally with all
 our weaknesses and faults.

Thank you - Thank your body for all it does for you. Thank yourself for being the best you can be. Thank God. Thank the Universe. Thank your body for keeping you healthy. Show gratitude towards your friends and family, for making you strong. Thank yourself, for bringing out the best in you. Acknowledge the power of nature, divine energy, and the universe for your existence. Thank people who have forgiven you. Thank whatever it was that just forgave you. Just keep saying THANK YOU. Thank you, for supporting me even when I’m unconscious, for I understand that the miracle is already underway. I thank the Divinity and the angels for the transmutation of my request. I give thanks because what I have received and what will come to pass is what I have deserved through the law of cause and effect. I give thanks because, through the power of forgiveness, I am now freed from the energetic chains of the past. I give thanks that I may recognize and join with the Source of all Being.
